About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EPC Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Freedom Mobile. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wireless data core network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the health of our Packet Core network, ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents.
  • Collaborate with network design and change management teams to ensure seamless network configuration modifications.
  • Provide expert-level technical support for wireless data core platforms, including Evolved Packet Core (EPC), 5G Standalone Core (5GC), and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Develop and refine best practices, define documentation, and enforce system standards to ensure efficient network operations.
  • Conduct lab tests to validate proposed engineering solutions and ensure network reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, participating in educational opportunities and vendor-provided webinars.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant technical experience in Packet Core network management.
  • Hands-on experience with MME/SPGW/PCRF/DRA/DNS, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of routing, F5, and Linux system management.
  • Excellent network troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to provide in-depth analysis of network traffic and path for redundancy.
  • Good understanding of operational support systems and customer-focused mindset.
