Lead Research Scientist in Storage Systems

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze trends in AI and storage technologies, articulate strategic visions, accurately assess customer needs, and outline the trajectory of technological evolution along with essential pathways. Evaluate technology readiness and develop comprehensive technical strategies.
- With a focus on AI-driven applications, develop a profound understanding of the foundational theories and evolving trends in AI within the storage domain. Identify key technological breakthroughs and drive innovation to maintain a balance between technological advancement and business objectives.
- Address the primary requirements and scenarios for storage within the context of AI advancements. Propose innovative technical solutions, establish competitive advantages, and enhance system-level innovation.
- Continuously seek out new innovation strategies and methodologies based on emerging technological breakthroughs. Identify and nurture high-potential talent, providing them with opportunities for growth and fostering a robust expert pipeline. Build relationships with leading talent in both academia and industry to attract top professionals.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in storage system architecture, with the ability to independently design I/O pathways and manage subsystems effectively. Lead teams in achieving significant technological advancements.
- Solid understanding of enterprise storage application scenarios and their key value propositions. Quickly identify market opportunities and technical requirements in emerging applications.
- Familiarity with AI large model technologies, including research on model training and inference, along with a comprehensive understanding of the development and application of large models in storage systems.
- Extensive experience in software development, capable of leading teams in technology advancement and research, with a strong background in storage systems.
- Exceptional technical insight and strategic planning abilities, coupled with an open-minded approach.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective teamwork.
