Company Overview: Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is seeking a Fleet Operations Maintenance Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team on a temporary basis. This role is essential for maintaining our fleet's efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of FCL's Fleet Asset Renewal Program across various commodities, conducting asset condition assessments and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance equipment specifications.
  • Oversee the execution of FCL's Fleet Maintenance Program, guiding operational teams in scheduling inspections, maintenance, and repairs for a diverse fleet, ensuring timely completion of necessary work.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in fleet asset maintenance, possessing a comprehensive understanding of equipment and relevant regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal standards.
  • Independently address complex technical issues related to equipment specifications and maintenance, conducting thorough root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to safety through proactive behaviors, discussions, and risk management practices.
  • Participate in on-call duties for incident management and consultation.

Collaboration:

You will collaborate closely with Dispatchers, Operations personnel, and third-party suppliers, reporting to the Supervisor of Fleet Asset Performance, and contributing to a culture of safety and resourcefulness.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have a background in Production, Trades, and Maintenance, with:

  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in the transportation sector.
  • A two-year diploma or Journeyman certificate in a mechanical trade (equivalent education and experience may be considered).
  • Familiarity with CSA B620 and relevant training in safety and regulatory systems.
