Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of FCL's Fleet Asset Renewal Strategy across various sectors including Petroleum, Merchandise, Propane, and Lumber. This involves conducting asset condition evaluations using a standardized methodology and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance equipment specifications.
- Lead the execution of FCL's Fleet Maintenance Strategy by advising operational teams on the scheduling of equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs across multiple commodity fleets, ensuring timely completion of necessary tasks.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in cross-commodity fleet asset upkeep, possessing a thorough understanding of equipment and relevant regulations. Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal regulations, corporate policies, and departmental standard operating procedures in all maintenance activities.
- Effectively address complex and specialized technical challenges related to equipment specifications, recurring issues, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repairs, ensuring comprehensive root cause analysis and appropriate corrective measures are applied.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to safety through consistent demonstration of safe practices, decision-making, risk management, and daily interactions.
- Be available for on-call duties related to incident management and expert consultation.
Collaborative Environment:
You will collaborate closely with Dispatchers, Operations staff, and third-party service providers. Reporting to the Supervisor of Fleet Asset Performance, you will be part of a team dedicated to fostering a culture centered on safety and resourcefulness.

Your work contributes significantly to providing essential grocery and wholesale solutions to independent retailers, restaurants, and various food service establishments across Western Canada.
Candidate Profile:
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about a career in Production, Trades, and Maintenance and possess the following qualifications:
- 6-9 years of relevant experience in the transportation sector.
- A two-year diploma or Journeyman certification in a mechanical trade (a combination of relevant education and experience may be acceptable).
- Familiarity with CSA B620 and relevant training in safety, emergency response, and regulatory frameworks.
