Vault Operations Specialist

Position Purpose:

As a Vault Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our store's financial systems. Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, managing cash transactions, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all associates within the store environment.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to requests from Cashiers and Head Cashiers.
  • Accurately count vault and key media from previous day's sales transactions.
  • Balance petty cash funds and verify cashier floats for accuracy.
  • Maintain a meticulous balance of the safe, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date.
  • Keep detailed records in the cashier log, documenting all relevant transactions and activities.
  • Process daily cash and cheque deposits, adhering to established procedures.
  • Log any discrepancies between actual cash amounts and recorded figures, including overages and shortages.
  • Communicate promptly with management regarding missing media, sort discrepancies, and any identified overages.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for existing computer equipment within the store.
Experience/Knowledge Required:
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of success in a similar role, meeting performance expectations as outlined by company standards.
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet operational needs.
  • Possess a minimum of two years of experience handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies and technical issues.
  • Maintain a proactive and self-motivated approach, consistently delivering high-quality work under pressure and within established deadlines.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Possess excellent follow-up skills and a meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and completeness in all tasks.
