We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Vault Associate to join our team at Home Depot of Canada Inc. As a Vault Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the smooth operation of our store's cash handling and vault management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Cash Handling and Vault Management: Count and balance vault and key media from previous days' sales, balance petty cash and count cashier floats, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all associates, respond promptly to Cashier and Head Cashier requests, and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot and support existing computer equipment in the store, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Log and track all returned cheque inquiries and cheque collection issues, and prepare all tills and change drawers for the next day's operations.
- Reporting and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including cashier logs and overages/shortages, and ensure that all reporting requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of cash handling experience, with a strong background in cash management and vault operations.
- Skills: Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels and to troubleshoot complex problems.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required.
