Senior Structural Engineer Opportunity

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex engineering projects, collaborating with a strong team to plan, schedule, and execute projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement structural engineering solutions for various phases of capital and heavy industry projects.
  • Lead multiple designers and engineers on schedule and cost-driven capital projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with North American engineering and design codes and standards.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Structural Engineering with P. Eng. designation in BC.
  • Minimum 18 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mineral processing and mining industry.
  • Dynamic analysis and design experience.
  • Site experience.
  • Experience developing proposals for various phases of capital projects.
  • Extensive experience developing capital cost estimates for various phases of capital projects.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of STAAD Pro structural analysis, RISA 3D, SAP 2000, and S-Concrete.
  • Experience with Mathcad or Excel, Navis Works, AutoCAD, MS Office.
