Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Education Manager to join our team at the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA). As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to our educational team, ensuring the successful development and implementation of various educational resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of professionals, guiding them in the development and implementation of educational resources, curriculum, and learning aids for e-learning and instructor-led in-person and virtual education.
  • Curriculum Design and Development: Provide strategic direction and support to the development and delivery of education and resources, ensuring alignment with RIA's strategic plan and program needs.
  • Knowledge Mobilization and Partner Engagement: Establish and maintain partnerships with external and internal partners to support the successful development, implementation, and delivery of various educational projects.
  • Budget Management: Manage multiple project budgets, providing regular reporting of expenditures to leadership and funding agencies.
  • Communication and Reporting: Develop and maintain strong written and verbal communication skills, presenting and discussing matters with partners through various virtual and in-person events and meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in education, pedagogy, or instructional design, with training or equivalent experience in project management, evaluation, and/or knowledge mobilization.
  • Skills and Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience providing strategic direction and leadership to projects, with a minimum of 3 years of experience leading and supervising a project team. Proven experience managing project budgets, working with online learning environments, and developing educational resources.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams, vendors, and partners.
  • Level of Responsibility: Responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient implementation and budget management of multiple projects.
Working Environment

The successful candidate will be working in a comfortable indoor environment, with opportunities for hybrid work. The work will involve regular interaction with RIA team members and external partners and collaborators, with deadline pressures and a demand for thoroughness and accuracy.
