Junior Facilities Technician

Westcorp is in search of a dedicated Junior Facilities Technician to support our operations. This position is ideal for a proactive and skilled technician who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

The property management sector is centered around exceptional customer service, and the successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding client relationship skills. This role offers the chance to foster meaningful connections with residents and tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Facilities Technician in executing a thorough predictive and preventive maintenance strategy for the property.
  • Manage safety protocols to ensure efficient operations, including maintaining accurate logs for various systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and address general maintenance requests, ensuring all facilities are in optimal condition.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs to prevent equipment failures, including routine maintenance tasks.
  • Support waste management initiatives as necessary.
  • Oversee contractor work, ensuring timely rectification of any deficiencies.
  • Complete all administrative tasks in accordance with company policies, maintaining accurate records of all activities.
  • Prioritize and organize work to meet established deadlines.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Perform external maintenance duties as required, including snow removal and site upkeep.

Required Qualifications:

  • A valid Fifth Class Power Engineering certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in high-rise buildings is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and HVAC operations is essential.
  • Possession of basic maintenance tools is required.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including weekends, as needed.
  • A safety-conscious attitude is crucial.
  • Highly organized and results-driven, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in technology, including smartphone and computer skills, is necessary.
  • Physical fitness to lift and move heavy items is required.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed.
