Role: Facilities Technician

As a Facilities Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our facilities. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs according to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring optimal performance of building systems and equipment.
  • Assist in the installation and implementation of new hardware and software systems, providing support and training to users.
  • Maintain a well-organized and stocked maintenance room, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Participate actively in meetings, training sessions, and workshops to stay abreast of industry best practices and advancements.
  • Document all work procedures and service progress meticulously for future reference and reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for providing quality care in a senior living environment.
  • Certification as a 4th Class Power Engineer or equivalent is an asset.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in mechanical or electrical trades is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance programs for building systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using electronic devices and computer software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; fluency in Chinese is an asset.
