Role Overview

The Finance & Strategy division enhances strategic and financial decision-making throughout the organization. We oversee our operational framework, evaluate business deals, and assess capital allocation strategies while focusing on long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate crucial Annual Planning and Outlook processes by managing the integration of forecasts across all international markets and summarizing the results for presentation to senior leadership.
  2. Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for International Finance & Strategy month-end processes, creating summary presentations in collaboration with market DRIs to elucidate significant performance trends for team leaders.
  3. Develop, manage, and maintain Performance Indicator dashboards by extracting data from SQL and analyzing extensive datasets.
  4. Conduct cross-market analyses to assist both market DRIs and local teams, focusing on metrics such as customer retention, product performance, and lifecycle evaluations.
  5. Lead modeling and analytical efforts for ad-hoc multi-market initiatives, fostering relationships across the organization and presenting insights to enhance local market strategies.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
  2. Over 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  3. Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (case study may be required).
  4. Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker).
  5. Alignment with Afterpay's mission of Economic Empowerment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification.
  2. Experience in data science.
  3. Familiarity with the payments industry.
  4. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker) and reporting software (e.g., Hyperion).
