Advertisers utilize Amazon's data-driven insights, engaging creative formats, and diverse placements to effectively connect with target audiences and enhance their brand presence. Our advertising sales team provides guidance, education, and support to advertisers globally. Success in this position entails setting ambitious objectives for how our sales team can enhance advertiser service by leveraging best practices from Amazon and the digital advertising sector, fostering internal collaborations to align product, finance, recruiting, and account management teams on the necessary inputs to achieve these objectives, and identifying and resolving obstacles as teams work towards these goals.

An ideal candidate excels at conveying intricate concepts to diverse audiences using internal metrics, customer feedback, and industry insights to back their recommendations. Key Responsibilities
  1. Cultivate relationships with product, marketing, finance, and HR leadership to establish multi-year operational plans for the global advertising sales division, encompassing revenue, product adoption, and staffing targets.
  2. Lead quarterly business reviews, coordinating with finance, sales, and strategy teams to compile comprehensive documents for advertising sales Directors and VPs, facilitating in-depth analyses as required.
  3. Establish metrics, tools, and processes necessary to set and achieve product adoption, revenue, and sales productivity objectives.
  4. Identify performance gaps, create mechanisms to address them, implement changes collaboratively with leadership peers, monitor outcomes, and empower advertising sales to meet ambitious goals.
  5. Develop and disseminate best practices for enhancing sales productivity across teams in multiple countries.

A typical day in this role involves a balanced focus on primary research and analysis, drafting strategic documents, and leading internal review meetings, necessitating a strong ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or equivalent software
  • Experience in defining, refining, and executing sales processes, procedures, and policies or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Over 5 years of experience in finance, business management, and sales operations
  • Experience in a high-growth technology company
