Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

TAMSCO Food Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team in a full-time, permanent position.

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our food products by monitoring raw materials, processes, and finished products. This role will also involve developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures to meet regulatory, industry, and corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control: Perform daily GMP inspections, QC line checks, and internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Raw Material Inspection: Examine incoming raw materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor all processes to ensure they are in compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Finished Product Inspection: Examine finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document and report any non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and other departments to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to ensure employees understand quality and safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. food science, quality assurance, etc.).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications: HACCP certification and GMP certification.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Environment: The work environment will be noisy and at low temperature (around 3 degrees Celsius).
  • Physical Demands: Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts.
