Job Summary

Ainsworth is currently seeking a skilled Chiller Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining chillers, as well as performing maintenance and repair on all chiller manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot chillers and related equipment, with a thorough understanding of product operations.
  • Install and assemble equipment and components, ensuring proper installation and configuration.
  • Assist in the overhaul and servicing of chillers, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform maintenance and repair on all chiller manufacturers, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of indentured apprentices, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Adhere to the Company's Quality System operating procedures, ensuring compliance and excellence in all aspects of work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Certified Red Seal Refrigeration/HVAC Mechanic, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience on Centrifugal Chillers, with a proven track record of success.
  • Danfoss compressor repair/maintenance experience, with a strong understanding of compressor operations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment of the HVAC Refrigeration trade, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • A current and valid Alberta driver's license, with a strong understanding of road safety and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, management, and clients.
  • Preference given for dual Journeyman Certification (Electrician, Plumber, Gas), with a strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and gas systems.
