About the Role
Ainsworth is seeking a skilled Chiller Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining chillers to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot chillers and related equipment to identify areas for improvement.
- Install and maintain equipment and components to ensure seamless operation.
- Assist in the overhaul and servicing of chillers to extend their lifespan.
- Perform maintenance and repair on all chiller manufacturers to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of indentured apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to the Company's Quality System operating procedures to ensure excellence in all aspects of the job.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management to support the team's goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Certified Red Seal Refrigeration/HVAC Mechanic to ensure expertise in the field.
- Minimum 5 years commercial experience on Centrifugal Chillers to demonstrate proficiency.
- Danfoss compressor repair/maintenance experience to showcase specialized skills.
- Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, materials, and equipment of the HVAC Refrigeration trade to ensure a strong foundation.
- A current and valid Alberta driver's license to facilitate travel to job sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Preference given for dual Journeyman Certification (Electrician, Plumber, Gas) to demonstrate versatility.
