What is the opportunity?

The Organizational Effectiveness division serves as RBC's Center of Excellence, providing essential support to various business units and leadership in the realms of Organizational Design and Change Management. Our team collaborates closely with HR Business Partners, specialized HR teams, and operational colleagues to develop resources and offer advisory assistance for both small-scale initiatives and extensive enterprise-wide programs.

As the Director of Organizational Effectiveness, reporting to the Senior Director, you will engage with talent partners and business leaders to refine organizational structures, manage change, and facilitate workforce transformation, thereby enabling RBC to achieve its strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR colleagues, business leaders, and senior executives within a dynamic, high-performing team to enhance overall performance and outcomes across various business units and the organization as a whole.
  • Enhance RBC's operational effectiveness by leading high-priority initiatives focused on Organizational Design and Change Management.
  • Leverage your extensive consulting background to initiate, design, and implement large-scale Organizational Design and Change Management projects using structured methodologies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in Organizational Effectiveness, providing credible recommendations and advisory support.
  • Identify and analyze key data sources for business case development, working with large datasets to derive insights.
  • Manage relationships with HR Business Partners and Senior Executives to define project scopes and offer recommendations on applying Organizational Effectiveness methodologies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Organizational Effectiveness practices, providing input and support for evolving methodologies, frameworks, and tools.
  • Lead projects from conception through execution, delivering actionable recommendations and measuring success against key performance indicators.
  • Develop effective communication strategies to convey findings and solutions, driving alignment across stakeholders.

Qualifications for Success

  • A strong passion for Organizational Effectiveness and the development of high-performance teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of Organizational Development processes and the ability to advise senior leaders on effective program implementation.
  • Expertise in change management techniques and the ability to facilitate smooth transitions to desired organizational cultures and structures.
  • A comprehensive consulting toolkit with strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Experience in deconstructing complex problems, identifying logical solutions, and assessing business impacts.
  • Proven ability to facilitate problem-solving sessions with diverse stakeholder groups to drive effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in various circumstances, utilizing available resources and subject matter experts.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to senior audiences.
