Job Summary

The Organizational Effectiveness Specialist will play a key role in enhancing organizational performance and individual development at Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care. This position will facilitate the application of behavioral science knowledge to drive strategic planning, organization design, leadership development, change management, performance management, coaching, and work/life balance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, development, and delivery of organizational development activities to meet long-term and short-term needs in alignment with the organization's strategic direction.
  • Identify, implement, and evaluate approaches to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide group facilitation support for strategic planning, team development, and change management initiatives.
  • Develop learning strategies for Baycrest initiatives and manage parts of the learning design and delivery process.
  • Support and coach managers and departments with the planning and delivery of department-specific change management, improvement, or learning activities.
  • Provide advice on internal and external learning and organizational development issues to staff and management.
  • Search and prepare proposals for externally contracted learning and development or engagement services.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Adult Education Certificate required.
  • Change Management Certificate an asset.
  • Three to five years of related experience required.
  • Demonstrated effective coaching, facilitating, and systems thinking skills, as well as the ability to develop learning strategies.
  • Advanced understanding of methodologies and approaches for learning, strategic planning, organization design, leadership development, change management, performance management, coaching, diversity, and developing a healthy workplace.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time/project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Education and experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
