Senior Mechanical Layout Designer

Ausenco is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Layout Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical layouts for mineral processing plants.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed mechanical layouts for mineral processing plants
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements and industry standards
- Produce high-quality design deliverables, including design criteria, drawings, and reports
- Manage and maintain design drafting standards across projects
- Lead and manage a team of layout designers to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget
- Monitor and control layout budget hours and manpower loading, providing forecasts as needed
- Support proposal managers in developing proposals and estimates
- Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination and ensure compliance with Ausenco's quality assurance and occupational health and safety policies
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Layout Designer with a strong background in mineral processing plants. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent
- At least 15 years of experience in mechanical layout and design drafting for mineral processing plants
- Experience working in a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
- Strong knowledge of major mineral processing equipment and interconnecting equipment and chutework
- Proficiency in Autodesk products, including Autocad, AdvanceSteel, and Plant3D
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
