We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Layout Designer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed mechanical layouts for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain mechanical layouts for various projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical layouts with other design elements.
- Produce high-quality design deliverables, including design criteria, drawings, and reports.
- Manage and maintain design drafting standards across projects, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Lead and manage a team of layout designers, providing guidance and support to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Monitor and control layout budget hours and manpower loading, providing forecasts and recommendations for improvement.
- Support proposal managers in developing proposals and estimates, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination and collaboration to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Comply with Ausenco's corporate policies and procedures, adhering to quality assurance and occupational health and safety standards.
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Mechanical Layout Designer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and design drafting. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in mechanical layout and design drafting, preferably in a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment.
- Experience in layout design of mineral processing plants for studies and projects.
- Knowledge of major mineral processing equipment and interconnecting equipment and chutework.
- Proficiency with Autodesk products, including Autocad, AdvanceSteel, and Plant3D.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Able to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
