About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Layout Designer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical layouts for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed mechanical layouts for projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements
- Produce high-quality design deliverables, including design criteria, drawings, and reports
- Manage and maintain design drafting standards across projects
- Lead and manage a team of layout designers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Monitor and control layout budget hours and manpower loading
- Support proposal managers in providing input into proposals and estimates
- Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Layout Designer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and design drafting. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in mechanical layout and design drafting
- Experience working in a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and codes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
