Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed mechanical layouts for projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements
- Produce high-quality design deliverables, including design criteria, drawings, and reports
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and standards
- Manage and maintain design drafting standards across projects
- Lead and mentor a team of layout designers to achieve project goals
- Monitor and control layout budget hours and manpower loading
- Support proposal managers in developing estimates and proposals
- Foster interdisciplinary coordination and collaboration
- Comply with Ausenco's quality assurance, occupational health and safety, and environmental policies
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Mechanical Layout Designer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and design drafting. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent
- At least 15 years of experience in mechanical layout and design drafting for mineral processing plants
- Experience working in a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
