We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Layout Designer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical layouts for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed mechanical layouts for projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables, including design criteria, drawings, and reports
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and standards
  • Manage and maintain design drafting standards across projects
  • Lead and mentor a team of layout designers to achieve project goals
  • Monitor and control layout budget hours and manpower loading
  • Support proposal managers in developing estimates and proposals
  • Foster interdisciplinary coordination and collaboration
  • Comply with Ausenco's quality assurance, occupational health and safety, and environmental policies
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Mechanical Layout Designer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and design drafting. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent
  • At least 15 years of experience in mechanical layout and design drafting for mineral processing plants
  • Experience working in a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
