Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect samples from agricultural products for analysis.
  • Enforce compliance with government regulations and standards.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Communicate required standards to agricultural personnel.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of agricultural products.
  • Identify harmful diseases, chemical residues, or infestations during inspections.
  • Interpret and clarify government regulations.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and generate reports.
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports.
  • Route samples to laboratories for testing and verification.
  • Examine storage and transportation methods to ensure sanitary practices.
  • Inspect cleanliness and operational practices of staff.
  • Address consumer and trade complaints effectively.
  • Take necessary emergency actions to ensure product safety.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in presentation and word processing software.
  • Familiarity with internet and spreadsheet applications.
Inspection Experience
  • Experience with fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables.
  • Knowledge of plants and plant products.
Specialization
  • Focus on agricultural practices.
