Position Overview

This role is a remote contract opportunity for a Financial Operations Assistant at BFC Tax Accountants Inc. The selected candidate will undertake responsibilities including the preparation of financial reports, the use of accounting software, management of bookkeeping tasks, and provision of support and guidance in accounting and tax-related activities. This position is ideal for individuals interested in working as independent contractors on a project basis, with the potential to earn commissions for successfully completed projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Financial Accounting and Bookkeeping
  • Proficient understanding of accounting and tax planning principles
  • Experience in Canadian payroll management and processing
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks and similar platforms
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision
  • Capability to work independently and remotely
  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certification in accounting, finance, or Canadian income tax law
  • Certifications like CPA or CMA are advantageous but not mandatory
