Position Overview

We are seeking a remote contract Accounting Assistant to join BFC Tax Accountants Inc. In this role, the Accounting Assistant will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including the preparation of financial statements, the use of accounting software, management of bookkeeping tasks, and provision of support and guidance in accounting and tax planning efforts. This position is ideal for individuals interested in working as independent contractors on a project basis, with the potential to earn commissions for each successfully completed project.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in managing Canadian payroll processes.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks and similar tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Capability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • A degree, diploma, or certification in accounting, finance, or Canadian income tax law.
  • Certifications like CPA or CMA are advantageous but not mandatory.
