POSITION SUMMARY:

The TEM Analysis Specialist is tasked with examining semiconductor devices utilizing the transmission electron microscope (TEM) across various operational modes. In this capacity, you will interpret client specifications, prepare TEM samples, and generate high-quality imagery and materials analysis. Additional responsibilities include processing TEM data and crafting clear, precise reports. This role is classified as intermediate, contingent upon a blend of educational background and hands-on experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist in estimating the necessary effort for TEM analysis under supervision.
  2. Select suitable equipment and methodologies for conducting analyses.
  3. Generate samples intended for TEM analysis.
  4. Capture TEM/STEM images and material analysis data.
  5. Process imagery and materials analysis data into coherent results for reporting purposes.
  6. Collaborate with process analysts and fellow TEM team members to deliver comprehensive analyses.
  7. Support internal needs for Process Analysis, Circuit Analysis, and Business Development.
  8. Interpret imagery and materials analysis results in line with project objectives.
  9. Annotate images and graphs as required.
  10. Integrate TEM analysis findings into project documentation.
  11. Engage with external stakeholders as necessary.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Master's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. 1-3 years of experience with TEM imaging, EDS, and EELS material analysis techniques.
  3. Practical experience in a laboratory setting and familiarity with relevant tools.
  4. Knowledge of laboratory processes such as mechanical polishing and ion beam milling.
  5. Experience with imaging instruments including TEM, X-ray, and optical microscopes.
  6. Expertise in sample preparation techniques: cross-section and planar.
  7. Proficient in drafting clear technical reports.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Experience in the semiconductor field is a valuable asset, though not mandatory.
