Cost Analysis Financial Specialist

Position Overview: Reporting to the Operations Finance Controller, the Cost Analysis Financial Specialist plays a crucial role in executing, enhancing, and overseeing cost analysis and internal control measures for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive Inventory Master records.
  • Evaluate departmental performance against established benchmarks, report discrepancies, and provide insights to the Operations Leadership Team.
  • Support the Operations Controller in fostering a robust internal controls framework.
  • Incorporate standard costs and related documentation for all new raw materials, as well as molded and printed inventory items.
  • Develop routing processes to appropriately allocate labor and overhead expenses to inventory items.
  • Conduct monthly revaluations of actual inventory costs based on material pricing fluctuations.
  • Engage in interim and year-end audit processes.
  • Analyze material variances along with freight and pallet costs on a monthly basis.

Financial Planning: Assist in the preparation of financial budgets and quarterly forecasts for material costs and departmental overhead expenses.

Continuous Improvement: Lead, facilitate, or actively participate in targeted Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a solid grasp of accounting principles and transactions.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in large ERP/MRP systems is advantageous. Strong PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications and Excel, are essential.

Fluency in English with effective verbal and written communication abilities is required.
