With a workforce of over 1,200 employees, Première Moisson operates 25 bakeries across Quebec and one in Ottawa, with many products available in grocery stores throughout Quebec and Ontario. The acquisition by Metro has further enhanced Première Moisson's ability to expand its distribution network in these regions.

Reporting to the Key Accounts Director, the Key Accounts Analyst will play a vital role in driving corporate goals related to the growth of Première Moisson and private label sales across all product categories, including bakery, pastry, viennoiserie, and deli.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with extracting and analyzing periodic performance data, providing actionable insights, and developing strategic plans to meet sales objectives.

Employment Type: Full-time - Permanent - 40 hours per week

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days on-site / 2 days remote

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution and attainment of corporate objectives
  • Ensure adherence to the Première Moisson brand standards across all projects
  • Prepare and present periodic management reports, offering recommendations based on performance metrics
  • Assess the potential and nuances of current and prospective markets, alongside customer needs and external factors (competitors, trends, pricing, market share)
  • Stay informed about emerging market trends and competitive strategies
  • Manage various analytical tools and resources
  • Oversee product listings on the banner platform
  • Develop analyses, action plans, and recommendations to meet sales targets
  • Collaborate with the Major Accounts Director to formulate sales budget recommendations
  • Identify significant business opportunities aligned with corporate strategy
  • Analyze customer opportunities
  • Submit Gate documents for product innovation requests
  • Partner with the Account Manager to propose strategies to enhance product sales
  • Recommend sales strategies based on ROI analysis of available market data
  • Ensure that Première Moisson commitments are upheld when proposing new product developments
  • Recommend the discontinuation of underperforming products as necessary
  • Prepare pricing structures for new products for customer review
  • Responsible for documentation related to price adjustments
  • Update promotional calendars by banner and disseminate internally and to suppliers
  • Analyze sales activity results
  • Generate and provide reports, analyses, and presentations on product and market performance
  • Evaluate and comment on market and competitive landscape; submit concise and comprehensive recommendations, including regular in-store visits
  • Conduct post-launch evaluations for new products, packaging, etc.
  • Contribute to the development of customer sales strategies
  • Support the sales team during customer presentations
  • Process sample requests
  • Follow up on brand representative events/talks, ensuring the availability of necessary materials (product descriptions, images, etc.)
  • Provide post-event reports on major activities
  • Ensure compliance with advertising schedules and follow up on deviations with recommendations and actions
  • Conduct monthly point-of-sale tours
  • Perform competitive analysis tours at least twice a year or as needed
  • Suggest ideas for process enhancements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the food industry
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Dunnhumby is preferred
  • Understanding of the Metro environment is desirable
  • Experience with SAP is an asset
  • Bilingual proficiency in written and spoken French and English
  • Passionate about work, products, and customer engagement
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
