Position Overview: Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) in Sydney, Nova Scotia, is in search of a dedicated full-time Anesthesiologist. This locum role is available for an immediate start for a qualified candidate holding Royal College Canada certification and who is eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will join a team of seven Anesthesiologists providing services to the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and its surrounding areas, catering to a population exceeding 150, #.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform comprehensive anesthetic care for patients within the Eastern Zone, including participation in on-call duties.
  2. Report to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia regarding professional responsibilities and quality of care, adhering to the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Expected Work Hours:
  1. Full-time commitment.
  2. On-call responsibilities included.

Qualifications Required:
  1. Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  2. Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
  3. Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
