The successful applicant will be part of a team of 7 Anesthesiologists serving the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and surrounding communities with a catchment area of over 150,000. This is an excellent opportunity to engage in research and/or have medical teaching positions with Dalhousie University, should that be of interest.
Cape Breton Regional Hospital is a 250-bed tertiary care institution that provides a broad range of medical care to patients in the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. The Anesthesiology service at the hospital is equipped to provide a full range of specialized care.
Responsibilities- Provide full scope of practice as an Anesthesiologist, including care to patients within the Eastern Zone and participation in call
- Be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia for professional responsibilities and quality of practice, operating within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
- Full-time
- On-call requirement
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
