About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join our team at Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a tertiary care institution with a broad range of medical care services.

As an Anesthesiologist with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will have the opportunity to engage in research and/or have medical teaching positions with Dalhousie University, should that be of interest.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full scope of practice as an anesthesiologist, delivering high-quality care to patients within the Eastern Zone.
  • Participate in call and be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia for professional responsibilities and quality of practice.
Qualifications
  • Eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
