The Nova Scotia Health Authority is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Anesthesiologist for a locum position at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This role is available for an immediate start for qualified candidates who possess certification from the Royal College of Canada and are eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of 7 Anesthesiologists, providing care to a diverse patient population across the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive range of anesthetic services to patients within the Eastern Zone and participate in on-call duties.
- Report to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia regarding professional responsibilities and quality of care, adhering to the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Full-time commitment required.
- On-call duties expected.
- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is required.
