Position Overview:
Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) is actively seeking a dedicated Anesthesiologist for a full-time locum role. This position is available for an immediate start for qualified candidates holding Royal College Canada certification and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of 7 Anesthesiologists, providing care to a diverse patient population across the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and its surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive anesthetic care to patients within the Eastern Zone, including participation in on-call duties.
- Report directly to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia, ensuring adherence to professional standards and quality of care, while operating within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Expected Work Hours:
- Full-time commitment.
- On-call responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Must hold eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is required.
