Coast Mental Health is a prominent non-profit organization in Canada dedicated to providing a comprehensive array of innovative services for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. We are currently in search of a Social Work Manager to oversee our Mental Health & Recovery Program.

Position Overview:

The Social Work Manager will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of Social Workers, ensuring the provision of gender-sensitive, trauma-informed care to clients navigating various difficulties. This role requires a compassionate and seasoned Social Work professional committed to enhancing the lives of individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Social Workers within the Mental Health & Recovery Program.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial evaluations and deliver continuous support to clients.
  • Facilitate care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Advocate for the rights and autonomy of clients, ensuring they have access to necessary community resources.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and community organizations.
  • Offer clinical supervision and maintain precise clinical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in Social Work with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Registration with the Board of Registration for Social Workers.
  • Possession of a valid First Aid Certificate and other pertinent certifications.
  • Proven ability to conduct assessments and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
  • Familiarity with computer applications relevant to the role.
