About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited as a Field Service and Maintenance Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling preventive maintenance for our large Heavy Equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance for the Heavy Equipment fleet using GPS systems and coordinate with in-house and external dealers.
  • Provide training and education to team members on safety protocols and ensure they are registered for appropriate training.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and tailgate talks, monitor the use of safety equipment, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks for the Heavy Equipment repair and maintenance department.
  • Ensure personal compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and all applicable company policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience coordinating activities, maintenance schedules, or administrative tasks in a heavy equipment shop environment would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in performing job responsibilities, attending meetings, and addressing issues promptly.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Excel for tracking, scheduling, and reporting on preventive maintenance schedules, training records, and other administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with VISTA Viewpoint software is preferred.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
