Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Field Placement Coordinator to join our team at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing field placements for Early Childhood Education (ECE) students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and arrange student placements for multiple sections of the ECE Non Semestered Diploma program.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders involved in field placement, including students, Field Liaisons, and Agency Site Supervisors.
  • Recruit new placement sites and develop partnerships with external organizations.
  • Record and administer placement-related data, utilizing databases and other tools as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) year diploma or equivalent in ECE.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in delivering services to a diverse clientele, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Recent experience arranging work/co-op placements is an asset.
  • Highly effective organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relations/partnerships with internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and work independently and within a team.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using databases to track and report on a variety of data.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Knowledge of Student Information Systems (e.g., GeneSIS), online collaboration tools, and/or Learning Management Systems (e.g., Brightspace) is an asset.
  • Experience with the use of CRM tool(s) is an asset.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular on-site work at Algonquin College's Woodroffe (Ottawa) Campus.
