About the Role:

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Field Service and Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Heavy Equipment Department, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules, tracking preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance for our large Heavy Equipment fleet, utilizing GPS systems to monitor schedules and coordinate with in-house and external dealers.
  • Provide training and education to team members on safety protocols, ensuring they are registered for appropriate training and monitoring certification expiration dates.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and tailgate talks, monitor the use of safety equipment, and ensure compliance with safety procedures, reporting injuries, incidents, and near-misses.
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks, including entering work order data, processing purchase orders, and handling various administrative duties.
  • Ensure personal compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and all applicable company policies, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience coordinating activities, maintenance schedules, or administrative tasks in a heavy equipment shop environment is an asset.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in performing job responsibilities, attending meetings, and addressing issues promptly.
  • Ability to use Excel for tracking, scheduling, and reporting on preventive maintenance schedules, training records, and other administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with VISTA Viewpoint software is preferred, aiding in managing work orders, purchase orders, and administrative functions.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, such as coordinating maintenance schedules, monitoring safety protocols, and handling administrative duties efficiently.
  • Meticulous in ensuring accuracy in data entry, scheduling, and compliance with safety and maintenance procedures.
