About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Maintenance and Cleaning Company Canada Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our cleaning staff and ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of our cleaning staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting, repair work, or renovations, and recommend these to management.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to our cleaning staff as needed, ensuring that they have the resources and equipment required to perform their duties.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure that our cleaning services are integrated with other operational activities.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement work schedules that ensure our cleaning staff are able to complete their tasks efficiently and effectively.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support the settlement and integration of newcomers and refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training and development opportunities to young people, helping them to gain skills and experience in the cleaning and maintenance industry.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Participate in programs that support the employment and development of mature workers, providing opportunities for mentorship, coaching, and networking.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in programs that support the employment and development of visible minorities, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Cleaning service company or restaurant.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.
