We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Skyway Brands YVR Inc. as a key member of our food service team.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and Implement Operational Procedures
Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and high-quality service delivery.
Inventory Management and RequisitioningRequisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
Staff Supervision and TrainingSupervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and training to ensure they meet our high standards.
Quality Control and AssuranceEnsure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our staff and customers.
Financial ManagementPrepare budget and cost estimates, monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost savings.
Customer ServiceAddress customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
Reporting and Record-KeepingMaintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, preparing and submitting reports as required.
Communication and TeamworkCommunicate effectively with staff, management, and customers, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements- Education and Experience
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
Culinary Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and ability to prepare and portion food to high standards.
Leadership and Supervisory SkillsProven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
Language and Communication SkillsFluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
