Restaurant Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, including food preparers and counter attendants.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked at all times.
- Customer Service
- Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operations and Administration
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including inventory management, scheduling, and staff supervision.
- Prepare food order summaries for our chef and ensure that our kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure that our restaurant is operating within budget.
- Teamwork and Communication
- Work collaboratively with our kitchen and food service staff to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.
- Communicate effectively with our staff, customers, and management team to ensure that our restaurant is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
