As part of WSP Global Inc.'s strategic growth initiatives, we are currently seeking a skilled and results-oriented Infrastructure Economic Consultant to join our Finance and Economics division.

The Consultant can be located anywhere in Canada, ideally in a major urban area. This role involves close collaboration with the Finance and Economics team.

Key Responsibilities:

The Finance & Economics team at WSP is a forward-thinking advisory group that supports both public and private infrastructure clients by delivering financial and economic insights to guide strategic decision-making and mitigate market risks through advanced modeling and scenario analysis.

  • Deliver a range of services related to finance and economics, including Financial, Economic, and Risk Advisory as well as Municipal Finance.
  • Assist in developing economic or financial models to aid clients in their decision-making processes.
  • Create and present business cases in accordance with relevant provincial or federal guidelines.
  • Support team members in providing deliverables and sustainability recommendations for clients.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with other teams within WSP Canada and global offices.
  • Contribute to the development of compelling proposals and support the overall proposal process.
  • Assist in expanding our economics and finance service offerings for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Economics or Finance.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the consulting sector.
  • Bilingual proficiency with excellent writing and communication skills in both English and French.
  • Proven experience applying economics and finance principles to projects.
  • Strong quantitative analysis capabilities with a demonstrated history of modeling using Excel.
  • Familiarity with statistical programming languages such as Stata, Matlab, or GAUSS, and knowledge of econometrics is preferred.
