Job Summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Performance Consultant to join our team in Canada. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a range of socio-economic projects related to mining, energy, and other sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data collection methodologies for socio-economic projects.
  • Conduct extensive quantitative data collection from various public sources.
  • Provide data compilation and analysis, and develop complex Excel spreadsheets.
  • Support research, note-taking, report writing, and data and literature review.
  • Collaborate with other ERM practitioners to execute projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, social science, public health, resource management, or a similar degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in socio-economic data collection and compilation, and conducting research, analysis, and interpretations.
  • Strong grasp of key social and economic topics related to population, employment, and economy, community well-being, and infrastructure and services.
  • Experience working with datasets and databases available in public sources.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of work.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including exceptional writing skills.
  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency in another language (particularly French or Spanish) is an asset.
