Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to lead the accounting department at our Nisku office. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating the financial direction of the company, managing the complexities of the oilfield industry, and ensuring financial efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all high-level financial functions, including financial reporting, tax planning, asset management, cash flow, and strategic financial planning.
  • Develop and manage the company's budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Oversee all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payment and collection of invoices.
  • Maintain accurate property and equipment records, including depreciation schedules.
  • Implement strategies to optimize cash resources and identify/mitigate financial losses.
  • Lead, support, and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and present findings and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously assess and enhance financial processes, systems, and policies to improve operations and increase efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • CPA designation required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a financial controller or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in oilfield services and transportation would be an asset.

Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000 annually.
