About the Role

The Apex Group is seeking a highly skilled Vice President to join our Private Equity Fund Accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical accounting and reporting capabilities to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare work paper files, including investment activity, management fee calculations, IRR calculation, unrealized/realized waterfall calculations, and more.
  • Review fund reimbursable expenses and prepare capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, allocations, and investor notices.
  • Prepare fund financial statements with footnotes and supporting schedules, as well as partner allocations and capital account statements.
  • Understand and review LPAs, purchase/sales agreements, side letters, and other complex investment structures.
  • Coordinate and support the audit for both SSAE 16 audit and fund audit, and assist with tax compliance/reports.
  • Responsible for investor and partner queries, including audit confirmations, investor cash flow, IRR analysis, and more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
  • 8-11 years of professional experience, with a mix of private and audit experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of direct Private Equity experience, with Hedge Funds not counting as relevant experience.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong Fund and Partner accounting knowledge, with credit funds exposure and portfolio accounting experience.
  • Supervisory experience and strong written and verbal communication skills.
