About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our Private Equity team at SS&C Technologies. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our clients' investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our clients' investments, including journal entries, trial balance reports, and cash reconciliations.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and calculate capital calls and distributions in accordance with partnership agreements.
  • Allocate income to partners and prepare monthly/quarterly financial reporting.
  • Maintain and update investment data, including number of shares, location of securities, and country of origin.
  • Manage relationships with clients and counterparties, handle queries, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with the implementation of new clients and special projects.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance, with a strong background in fund accounting and private equity.
  • CPA and/or MBA are strong pluses.
  • 2+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in the private equity field.
  • Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, financial reporting, and financial products.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Prior experience training, delegating tasks, and reviewing work is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to interact with others at various levels.
