Job Summary

The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Associate to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for processing staffing, scheduling, and other human resources tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather timesheets and accurately enter information into the scheduling and timekeeping system.
  • Maintain current and accurate employee records.
  • Point of contact between employees and Payroll regarding various employee benefits.
  • Coordinate vacation planning for staff.
  • Work with the HR team to process HR transactions and assist on various HR projects.
  • Maintain and organize filing systems.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience related to human resources, scheduling, and timekeeping.
  • Solid understanding of various articles of Collective Agreements related to staffing and scheduling.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws in BC.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Familiarity with ESP Payroll Software is an asset.
  • Experience working in a multiple unionized healthcare organization in BC will be an asset.
  • A Bachelor in Human Resources/Business Administration degree or CPHR certification will be an asset.
