Role Context and Purpose:

We seek freelance educators to collaborate with our academic and instructional teams in delivering lessons and services at our Budapest Teaching Centre. Ideal candidates will possess a strong desire to engage with a global leader in English education and will have access to professionally recognized training. A genuine interest in working with young learners is highly desirable.

The Budapest Teaching Centre, comprising over 20 educators, offers courses at various levels for both adults and children aged 5 to 17 years. Our adult programs are conducted from our main city center location, while our young learner courses are held at two off-site venues. Additionally, we serve a select number of corporate clients, providing both in-person and online courses.

We operate two 16-week semesters and summer programs for young learners, along with three 12-week terms for adults. Our offerings include General English and Cambridge Exam courses on-site, as well as online IELTS courses in partnership with the British Council in Bratislava and Prague.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently plan, prepare, and deliver a pre-agreed number of hours of high-quality English language instruction, catering to both adult and young learners.
- Monitor student progress using your professional expertise and provide regular feedback to enhance student performance throughout the course, while actively promoting learner autonomy.
- Contribute to the development, evaluation, and enhancement of English language courses, materials, and related services to meet the needs of students, collaborating effectively as a member of the teaching team.
- Complete teaching-related administrative tasks to specified standards.
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding and guidelines in accordance with policies regarding child protection, adult safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, safety, and security.

Due to ongoing circumstances, educators may be required to conduct lessons online.

Freelance teachers will be assigned one or more classes and must be available to cover the full-term teaching schedule for these classes. There will also be opportunities for standby and long-term cover work, with the potential for summer assignments.

Requirements:

- Applicants must have the right to live and work in the EU. We are unable to secure work permits for non-EU nationals.
- All applicants are required to obtain a police check from their current and previous country of residence prior to employment.
