Position Overview

Role Summary

What is the opportunity?

As an Insolvency Specialist, you will collaborate with departmental leaders within the Recoveries and Insolvency divisions to oversee daily operational tasks. Your responsibilities will include analyzing daily reports, preparing Risk Reports, and serving as a key contact for Insolvency Officers and external vendors. You will leverage your analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with delegated authorities, to negotiate resolutions for delinquent, insolvent, and at-risk credit products, while minimizing the financial and reputational risks to the organization. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a balance between quality and productivity in your work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance both personal and team efficiency and quality in achieving established Client Service Commitments (CSC's) and/or Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of various RBC products, processes, and services to mentor employees on complex and specialized transactions.
  • Adhere to RBC's operational risk policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines with diligence.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and behavior.
  • Engage collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and service partners.
  • Contribute to team success by sharing insights, best practices, and building upon the ideas of others.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recovery and insolvency.
  • In-depth knowledge of RBC products, processes, and services.
  • Proficient in Collection Highway and Bankruptcy Highway systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to performance, productivity, and delivering an exceptional client experience.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to understand complex concepts and possess regulatory and compliance knowledge related to Collections & Insolvency.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours within the operational schedule.
