Position Overview

Ignite Talent Solutions is representing a prominent full-service legal firm seeking to enhance its team with a driven Attorney specializing in Bankruptcy and Insolvency. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in this legal domain.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will engage in various aspects of financial restructuring, including:

  • Financial reorganizations and debt restructurings
  • Debtor and creditor rights advocacy
  • Security enforcement and forbearance arrangements
  • Receivership and related legal matters
  • Representation of stakeholders under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act
  • Advising and representing Trustees in bankruptcy

Your work will involve managing significant transactions throughout different phases of bankruptcy proceedings, requiring a solid understanding of accounting and financial implications related to restructuring. You will also be responsible for conducting incorporations and reorganizations as necessary.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 3 years' post-call experience
  • Expertise in Bankruptcy proceedings and receiverships
  • Strong crisis management and debt collection skills
  • Proficiency in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and related legislation
  • Exceptional teamwork capabilities and a proactive, trustworthy attitude
