Environmental Community Consultant

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Community Consultant to contribute to our sustainability initiatives within the mining sector. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of projects focused on mine closure and environmental management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of mine closure projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Support various environmental assessments, including Phase I and Phase II evaluations.
- Conduct fieldwork, including sampling of soil, water, and air, while maintaining equipment and monitoring systems.
- Collaborate with project managers to compile and analyze data, contributing to comprehensive report preparation.
- Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and subcontractors during field activities to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
- 0-4 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or mining.
- Familiarity with mine closure regulations and environmental frameworks is advantageous.
- Strong technical writing skills for detailed report documentation.
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork in diverse and remote locations.
Additional Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in additional languages, such as French or Spanish, is a plus.
- Eligibility for professional registration as a member in training is beneficial.
