Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to become a vital member of our team at ECC. This role necessitates a security clearance from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories. As part of our dedicated team, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of scientific and environmental services tailored for remediation and waste management initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass report preparation, data analysis, fieldwork execution, and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft environmental assessments and strategic plans under guidance
  • Evaluate environmental data and site assessments
  • Execute various project-related tasks as directed
  • Conduct field investigations while maintaining budgetary and scheduling commitments
  • Implement industry standards and regulatory requirements in project execution
  • Accurately complete essential documentation in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Fundamental understanding of scientific and engineering concepts
  • Knowledge of environmental processes and compliance regulations
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic communication tools
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is mandatory

Desirable Attributes:

  • Prior internship experience in a related field
  • Familiarity with Low-Level Radioactive Waste management
  • Experience in environmental remediation initiatives

Compensation:

The compensation for this role is competitive, ranging from $50,000 to $70,000 annually, with the final salary determined by various factors.
